Back to School
The dolls go out to have some fun with summer still in swing,
Before the cold winds come to stay, and autumn colors bring.
They bike into the forest,
Their favorite place to go!
The biking will be difficult once trails are lined with snow.
All the dolls find ways to play outdoors when weather's nice.
Fresh air, cool breezes, warmth of sun, always the dolls entice.
A doll's life is adventure,
With no two days the same.
In work and play they find some fun, and everything's a game.
Two dolls are picking out their clothes to wear to school next day.
It saves them time when morning comes to dress without delay.
Their books are all in order;
Their homework all is done.
They're looking forward to the day; they know that school is fun.
The dolls will make new friends at school and share their cares and joys.
They learn to work together there, just like real girls and boys.
Their lessons will be useful,
Although they're make believe.
They know their purpose, then, as dolls, will someday be achieved.
The dolls go off to school each day; although it's not required.
They play outdoors and then come home, pretending to be tired.
They eat a pretend supper,
Then watch TV or play.
Then off to bed at last they go, to sleep the night away.
