Summertime has come at last!

Boys and girls come out to play,

Skipping rope and running fast,

Basking in Sun's golden ray.

Oh, the lovely summertime,

When the days are mostly fine!

Everything is so much fun,

Deciding is the only chore.

Ball, or wheels, jump rope or run?

Building castles at the shore?

Oh, the lovely summertime,

Playing 'til the sun is gone,

Falling into bed at night,

Rising at the break of dawn;

That's how we do summer right!

When the days are mostly fine!

What if thunderstorms arrive?

What if rain keeps us indoors?

There still is fun we can derive

From reading while outside it pours!

When the days are mostly fine!

Fun alone and fun with friends,

Kids play games, play ball or ride,

Active 'til the summer ends,

When their games must move inside.

Enjoy the weather while you may

And take us with you out to play!
